Girl at the Height of Rudeness

I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
Looks like I’ve indulged a little too much

I looked at the open bottle of wine
It’s like my heart: gone to waste
Unclear phrases come to mind
So I force myself up in style, in letters

“Ah, I guess I’ve pushed myself too far
Ah, I guess they hate me again,”
I think as I look up at the stars

I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
Looks like I’ve indulged a little too much
I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
But I’m desperately living a fast and reckless life

I once sang that
“There’s nothing that won’t work out”
Someone out there has shed tears to the voice that addresses them so gallantly

I feel like we might as well wither away
The lies I’ve screamed with that in mind
Are pretty because they won’t reach you

I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
Looks like I’ve indulged a little too much
I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
But I’m desperately living a fast and reckless life

It’s so much prettier
Than being able to cry when you’re sad
Than a kindness with its thorns taken out
Believe me
Someone whose name I don’t know has cleared away the sound of me

I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
Looks like I’ve indulged a little too much
I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
So now I don’t know where to turn

I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
But I used to always be afraid of luxury
I’ve got it in excess
Romance in excess
So I’m desperately living a fast and reckless life
